Am I in or out of the sandbox?

I have a site that is about 4 months old.
The site was not place in any kw search for the first 3.5 months

Since beginning of this week I am placed as follow:

    My site title : kw1+kw2+kw3

    kw1+kw2+kw3
    5th position

    kw1+kw3+kw2
    47th position

    kw2+kw3+kw1
    37th position

kw1+kw2+kw(x) kw(x) was the old keyword used.
    22th position

    kw1+kw3
    not placed

    kw1+kw2
    not placed

    any other site related keywords
    NOT placed

I notice my competitors sites are being placed at almost any combination of keywords used.

    Questions?
    Am I in the sandbox?
what is the average time for a site to be in sandbox?

I didn't read the full post
I stopped when you said "4 months old".

Without reading further I can tell you: YES, you are.

Sounds like you're doing fine if your site is actually being ranked for some of the keyword combinations. Getting a high rank for a single keyword (if it's very competitive) will take time and a lot of work. Just focus on getting relevant backlinks with good anchor text.

    I know I'm still sandboxed

My site ranks #1 for allintext allintitle and allinanchor for my third main targetted keyphrase ( Very Competitive ) - yet does not rank in the top 1000 for google. On the MSN Beta search for NineMsn ( aus ) .co.uk and .com it ranks #1

At least I know I'm doing something right

Oh well head down and the quest for adding more links and more content continues.

Based on my own experiences of late, I would say that you are starting to come out of the sandbox.

Look at the thread I started a week ago "Holy Cow, I'm out of the sandbox"

What is your PR for homepage and next level internal pages ? Last update I only got a pr3 for the homepage and so the next level internal are only PR2's and I think this is contributing to our poor showing in the serps for other terms since PR2 pages won't rank very high by themselves in the serps. But it is just another PR update away.

I can type the word "Productive" and that comes up currently #21 out of 11.5 million. Not bad, except that is my company name and not a targeted keyword.

It seems I am still sandboxed heavily for the terms I am optimizing for, but not for a term I did not target. How odd.

"Sandbox" is getting to be a very over-used word.

No, you're not in the sandbox. Your site is ranking in the Top 50 for lots of keywords. People reporting on the Sandbox affect were having problems placing in the Top 1000.

4 months is not a lot of time to win all number ones for 2 keyword phrases.

Yes I have also noticed this effect as well. I wish I branded my organisation with my keyword in the title. Oh well you live and learn. I think that you have done really well to get the optimisation you have so far.

I guess you are still in the sandbox because 3-words keywords should not be competitive at all.
All sandboxed (indexed, but not showing in serp) website can have #1 or #2 ranking for some 3-4 words keywords.
I suggest you go on with your hard work for a while, and it'll pay off soon. get more links, anchor keywords, and on-site opimization, and with the next pr and bl update you should invite us to your party

    My home page PR3 , internal PR2 and 1
I am only ranked in some 3 kw,
I am not ranked in any 2 kw, I guess that shows I am still in it now.
