Altering TITLE tags
How detrimental, if at all, is changing the title tags of a website I'm getting excellent SERPs for? I would most likely only be replacing one keyword with another and possibly reordering the title sentence.
Any records of this hurting SERPs? |

The title tag should always be informational to the user. It should tell the user what that particular page is about BEFORE they click the google link. If you don't they will just exit. Any other uses of the title tag are useless.

No not necessarily. What WILL happen is that you'll drop a few positions for a few days then come back, possibly stronger if your changes are more relevant. GaryTheScubaGuy |
