Is this alt tag content too long? alt="Speed Queen Clothes Dryer Model ADGE9BGS113TW01">

there are 3 top load washers, 4 front load washers, 2 stack washer and dryer one gas one electric dryer), 10 dryers 5 gas 5 electric, and 2 stack dryer/dryer one gas one electric.

    Not too many products.

So I have a page with all Top Loads, Front Loads and dryers with alt tags (alt="Speed Queen whatever the model is">) on each product image.

So on the product detail page There is a washer with the matching dryers gas and electric with the images having the alt tag with the alt="Speed Queen Clothes Dryer Model whatever">

So each product image is listed 3 times throughout the site, but on different pages with the same alt tag content, is this over doing it?

Is the alt tag content too long?

The alt tag is simply the alternative for if the image is not loaded or displayed for a variety of reasons.
The text should be kept short and sweet but descriptive enough so a viewer who cant see the image knows what the image is. So a short sentence is fine but make it readable and meaningful for a human.

Google does use this tag to also understand what the image is about but if you write for a human reader google are pretty good at also understanding the image.
Contrary to some peoples belief, google can not see an image of a washing machine and understand its a washing machine all it will see is a load of dots and it could very well think its a fridge, It can do pattern matching but that is flawed so when a web master uses the alt tag to explain what the image is then it takes any of the guess work out of it.
