what I am still concerned about and some what confused is that for my company name and for my keywords I was #1. usually when you battle with competition you go up and down a few spots, but from #1 to #47??
What can I assume, however long should this last for? Is there a way of getting a definative answer from google? How can I see if someone is playing black hat on my site? Is my site that bad? |

ok to sort of answer my own question Ive done some research in the last 24 hours.
I have seen Matt Cutts blog and many other people experience similar issues. With my site, my pages are still being indexed, so I can safely assume its not banned. I think either this is a slight system glitch, if so I will just have to wait a few days. however looking more proactively, I have removed some of the issues that were mentioned in this thread, to ensure that the guideline of Google are met. I have also cleaned up some directories on my webserver that had duplicate content. I have also put a reinclusion report request on googles Help page. Will just have to sit back and see what happens. One question to all , I have a simple sitemap I created by self, would you think I could benefit from using googles official sitemap generator and use this instead? thanks Da95649 |

does supplemental results impact the main website?
Quote:
These are old pages that are not linked to anywhere. The pages that are supplemental results were removed from website in december 05. GOK how google is managing to dig up old cache and display them Last edited by yatratravel : April 28th, 2006 at 10:29 AM. |

the same happened once
I saw the same thing happening already last year in September to a couple of other websites and I am almost sure it is a kind of penalization from Google.
The sites were penalized this way (dramatic drop in SERPS, not in the TOP 10 for your own domain name, not on the first page if you search for related (similar to) websites) because of buying backlinks (=http://www.online-casino-incentives.com/), they were buying back links from a lot of websites (even from one college Californian newspaper recently criticised by Matt Cutts in his blog), the same happened also to www.onlinecasinohelper.com for the same reason (buying back links) and if you look at the websites you can see they are still penalized although they were banned already last year in September. I really think the website POKERSOURCEONLINE is banned as well because of obviously paid back links. I wish you good luck, may be you will have more luck than the sites mentioned above and Google will FORGIVE you. |

I have tried to collect all the information I can about the de-indexing issue and I am collecting a list of affected sites. If your site has been affected, please comment on this post

how can anyone or in this case Google, identify a link has been paid for....I mean I’m sure all of the people that rank #1-3 for top competitive phrase have not got all of there 100's of links for free, I’m sure people use different brokers? I thought that as long as they were good quality links, and they came from reputable related site, that that wasn’t a problem? |
