You cannot put a fixed number on a variable such as this. It absolutely depends on the market you are in and the brand you are promoting.

Register your site with Google Webmaster Tools and watch for messages there.

Pinguin
I had a lot of trouble with the last pinguin updates. I had a top rank on the keyword "seo" with my website de linkbuilder in Google.nl (Holland) but it dropped, and it dropped far... I hope it will come back in the coming weeks and till then I'm working again hard to get it back. So I will read these posts and watch the forum.
If anyone has tips I would love to hear them...

De Linkbuilder, the only tip I have is to suggest you employ De SEO Pro for this issue.
Sorry, it's Friday, couldn't resist

I'd have to disagree with that...If you don't have a google tools account and analytics I'd get a different analystic program, ya know one thats not residing on Googles servers...don't know much about the tools, I won't play in Googles yard.
Still have yet to see a site get hit without that influence.

Linkbuilding
Thank you for the answer. It is about my site but if I type that in google I will only get 2 of my results. But it is also a linkbuilding name and not a business name. Then again it is my business name.

I believe that the ideas are all connected with each other although some strategies to recover are not all the same.
I did quiet some reading as well on SEOmoz articles and its quiet easy to tell that even if they based all details on their experiement still everything comes out on the same observation and recovery strategies.
