Thumbs up 4 sites not ranking anymore in google

Ok,,,

firstly i got 5 games sites,,,,,and yes all got hit by the Florida update in google in November 2003.

Previous to the Florida update all sites were top 10 for there targeted keywords, all 5 sites performed very badly as regards google in December and January. February and March the 5th site has picked up rankings, about 13th for keyword phrase, but my 4 other sites still doing very poor although slighty better than in Jan, they have some top 10 rankings for keyword phrases not many people search,

Now the 1st is different from the other 4, different template design, hosted on different server,

The other 4 sites each on a different game are all on same server, all with same template design, and very much of the 4 sites includes the same contents, like links to info pages on each different game, as I thought if a person is interestin in 1 game, then maybe they interested in another, so I remade the pages specific to each domain, and like i said sites were doing great,
the sites are interlinked with each other, including the 5th sites,

The sites have very good PR all 5's and 6's and good link pop as good as if not better than those sites in top 10 for there terms,,,

pages are not overly optimised and have been html validated,
but everything i do thye still dont rank,,,,so then i thought maybe its the duplicate content?

Please let me know what you think, what other reasons could it be that my sites dont rank. Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light on this issue.

Avoid crosslinking all your sites and using alot of outbound affiliate links. The affiliate links shouldn't be that big if a deal but your most likely getting penalized for the crosslinkng

I'm wondering what is considered crosslinking.

From 1 site i link to many others. But from the others i don't link to anyone else.

I link with random keyword anchor texts

my site links in that fashion
random keyword 1
random keyword 2
random keyword 3
random keyword 4

Everytime you go back to that same page you get another combination.

would you see this as a problem ??

thanks
