Question 301 removed, google won't index

I want to test some markup so I removed a site wide 301 redirect I have on Websitesbymark.uk

The google cache is showing a later date then when I brought it back from the dead, but it's refusing to index it, instead it's still looking at the original target of the 301.

I have also built a new link to the original site, and in webmaster tools it shows it it crawling the site.

Does anyone know why this happening, if it will sort itself out and how long this is likely to take. (Normally after a week google will index changes for me..)

Cache isn't when it's indexed it just means google now has the information, checking search results will give you index times if the change made a difference.

Thanks for the reply. I can see from the search 'websitesbymark.uk' its still showing the description it got from 'websitesbymark.co.uk'. Also in Webmaster tools its not showing as indexed either. What concerns me is that I have read online the view that once a 301 is in place there is no 100% that Google will undo it..

Just wondered whats normal... And what I can do to help.

How long ago did you remove the 301? It certainly isn't instant.

We are a couple weeks on at this point, and I don't have an issue with waiting. Whats concerning me is that I submitted a fresh sitemap to Google two weeks ago, its processed without error, but it seems to have stopped at that point. So in my head Google knows about the 301 (which was on there for about a year) and thinks its still in place..

When I use the tools in WMT to see what Google is seeing, it is seeing the test data, so I know its not blocked to Google. The test markup is of low value, so I'm assuming if Google does not like it, it would simple drop the page from the index rather than showing content from the original 301 redirect in the cached view?

So I'm after really an idea how long I should be waiting before assuming Google is never going to index it again.
