Hey Visio,

You caught my interest so I G'd it and got 4th on G US and around 11th UK. No biggie, still impressive.

I think if he gained/earned those ranks he did it 'virally', or exactly as you've done it here.

Wonder what his parents are doing now.

Even more interesting, according to this page for advertising on his site , the traffic graph only goes back to March of this year, which the whois info backs up. That, just over 700 rss subscribers and what amounts to a handful of G bl's (440+), and he's holding these positions?

I'm very intrigued and impressed.

Wish I had the time to look closer at the bl sources and DNR's but I don't....(Maybe I should)

It made me look though!

Wink

I personally have a hard time believing a 13 year old made that site...what are his parents are up to? My guess is writing the site...but I may be feeling a little cynical today?

Yeah it is impressive... I had planned for a while now to analyze his backlinks but never got around to it.
I know myself I would be a little whatever about subscribing to a 13 year olds blog... and BTW those of you wondering if he actually started it, he did. That it is confirmed.
I just mentioned it as it is a perfect case study to prove anything is possible, the target is not the big thing, the method is.

Ha, this thread is cracking me up. Madison, you really got some good advice for just 20 stinkin' dollars... I bet you could have offered one dollar, and you still would have gotten some great advice.

You got to love the competitive spirit here. Maybe I will go blog about it

The fact is this is a free forum, free resource. Users have spent hours answering questions they know they will never get paid for... This isn't the first time however payment has been offered for a response...

yes i agree you should have a different section or perhaps articles explaining what the misspellings are, just gotta be creative about the design of your page.

Agree, and the solution is...

On one of my sites there is a misspelled version of my key phrase which has some 750 enquirers a day! I couldn't convince myself to use the misspelled version on the site because I didn't want to come across unprofessional so the solution I came up with was to create a landing page which addresses the fact that people misspell that word, kind of like Google's "did you mean ....?". I optimized the page for the misspelled version and then I wrote a few blog articles again actually discussing the fact that so many people misspell the word where the misspelled versions were the anchor texts pointing to the page.

What is surprising is the fact that Google seems to respond a lot better than Yahoo and MSN!

VIsio - WINNER - 20 Bucks to you my man

Visio, GaryTheScubaGuy and 1fast72nova were the finalists,

Winner is Visio! I will PM you now for your paypal email address.

Note to others: the only reason I promote Tramadol in my signature, is because online pharmacy sites are easily one of the most spammed on the internet along with poker, porn and casino.

I figure with the minimal value of forum back links, and the fact that G's results change almost daily for some of these OP keywords; why not add a few more? And see what it gets me, if anything. I am not adding any more relevant, paid, or baited links to that site for a few months, only blog, forum, and trackbacks. Then I'm going to weigh the value (if any) of these types of links for this industry or any other over spammed industry.

THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR REPLIES. ALL WERE APPRECIATED!

----Sorry for the delay----

MadisonSEO

And Nova - I HONESTLY meant to remove the PR 6 link part of that post I made a week ago or so. Originally I was going to give it out, but i realized I could not verify whether i had a RELEVANT PR6 link for the winner (obviously, because i have no prior knowledge of their niche). However, I probably could have got them one ;)

If you've ever had to mark school work done by 16 year olds, you'll certainly doubt that the language used is that of a 13 or 14 year old! It reads as being written by an adult, not a child. Sentence construction, use of verbs and adjectives, range of vocabulary, all say adult.
