#1 on google down...then gone!!! Site was in redemption
I have had my site for over 7 years. Certain keywords ranked my site at #1 on google. Unknown to me my website expired on Sept 17, 2012 and was completely shut down on Oct 17th, 2012.
After some research I found that my site was in redemption. I quickly paid the $155 and my site was back online within 2 1/2 days. (total time down was probably 4 days).
I quickly checked my ranking on google and noticed that my #1 keyword is no longer #1 on google...I cant even find it!
It has retained page 1 on yahoo.com & bing though.
Would my site being in redemption cause any harm even though it was only down for 4 days?
When my site was down I noticed that I still retained #1 on google then after a day or so it was gone.
Sorry for the essay. Any info on this would be great!

Give it a little time, it should come back.

As already said, it will be back in some time, I had similar experience , my site was gone for few days but when restored properly, it came back, however, there was some loss in rankings for various keywords.

Google has a parked domain detector that probably noticed your site was offline. Matt cutts talked about it the other day here
