-950 ....!!!

I need your advice. I admit it, i used DIV with 'display:none' attribute. But it worked fine for more than a year... i knew i shouldn't hid text... but...

all of the sudden, my pages got the -950 penalty. Does anybody know if google improved its filters / penalty algorithms ??.

I'm kinda worried, but i'm still in the index. Any idea ?

By the way, the DIV is gone.

Fix all problems and then request re inclusion. My suggestion, don't try and walk the fence. Get on the one side or the other, it will be much better for you.

If you don't understand how a gun works you shouldn't play with the trigger... edit your pages and then you don't need to ask such foolish questions.

It's always improving its filters / algorithms. If your still indexed then you don't need a re-inclusion but fix all the crap, add good content instead of hidding it and while you wait work at quality backlinks.

From what i've seen, I had a friend do an experiement with the 950 or whatever filter (site drops to 700-800rankings and hovers their for all your main keywords) anyways, it took about 2 months for him without touching his site at all (after fixing the iffy crap) and then he's site jumped right back to top 10 listings. Who knows how easy it will be for your site to get its rankings back or how long it will take. (If even your site deserves top rankings and has enough quality backlinks.)

A few days back we were having discussions on -30...now comes -950

yep next week we are going to discuss the minus 10,000 penalty lol....

That would be a complete ban issue I guess...

Still listed in SERP, and i still have pagerank, so i guess i don't need to fill reinclusion.

If you have two domains... say....

google.com >> WEB
and gooogle.com >> To the same web

Can that possibly be penalized somehow ??. I've got two domains pointing to the exact same IP, same webpage, no cloacking ..

-30 and -950 are old news, I remember reading these topics 6 months ago on WW. -950 is a penalty IMO. If you're canned that far for extended periods after successful and consistent rankings then it's probably a penalty. Reinclusion request after you have a professional review the web site and remove all negative aspects. Dont submit reinclusion with junk still present.
