Google has given me no warning, no reason and no reply to my repeated appeals for a review.
If that is not big brother attitude, what is? |

I'm starting to see that warning message a lot when I do an image search in Google.

You could always try asking them what the problem is...
Perhaps you've been hacked and something planted on a few pages (this happened to someone posting on another forum, and it was the only clue that there was a problem) |

It happens because someone hacked your server/domain. This is easy to do if you leave public files writable and executable - the culprit can easily leave a pixel iframe on your domain and then run whatever they wish from the safety of their own domain (leaving you with the rap). The steps you need to take to remove the notice are explained in the Google notice itself, which lands you @StopBadware.org

Try to changes your web server username and password, you have get all things in clear, if you have been hacked or not? Usually, if you got your website in this tag by Google, there must be an error shows there in Google Webmaster Tools. And you can make the required changes and can request for review it again. |

Same happened with one of my site. My site was hacked and some one had installed bad script.
What I did is clean all the script(badware) from the pages and ask for review at stopbadware.org/home/review Within 3 days I got my site reviewed and no more warning message shown thereafter This post tells about the warning googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.com/2007/01/about-badware-warnings.html

If this is the first you've heard about, perhaps you should be thankful that Google have alerted you to being hacked...

Google is on the line with this one

Why not throw people in jail and forget sending them through the courts and judicial system? Cool Nice, that is ridiculous. I was also afflicted with the 'This Site May Harm Your Computer' label in late 07. It was some virus that was let loose on my server and this Iframe script redirects the user to some malware sites. This seems to be the case in the affected users that have the 'May Harm Your Computer' tag. Educate yourself: (I can't post a url because I am new, so search "iframe" + "hack" in google and find some nice articles about this malicious hacking bot) So is Google helping us? Sure, they are trying to prevent us from being subjected to malware. But in this case, it just so happens that Google decided to protect us at the same time that some punk kids have let these little Iframe bots loose all over the web. So without any notice at all, you (the affected webmaster) loses all your Google traffic and are not notified by anyone. Then you have to figure out on your own that you were hacked. And once you remove the script, you have to wait for StopBadware.org to answer your request and ask google to remove the label. In my case, my Google rankings never did come back, even after the label was removed. So think twice before convicting the innocent. |

clicking on it takes you to the domain (warning's gone). ...like saying the wind, rain, and snow bores me... can I get rid of the weather report? ...changing the channel usually works. |
