"Position 6 Penalty (Error) Confirmed by Matt Cutts of Google"

I was reading this blog I found this post interesting I thought I share.

------------------------------------

Anyway, Google came out this week and admitted that they had made a mistake with the Position 6 Penalty. I applaud Google for taking the time to communicate this kind of information to Web masters to save them from chasing their tail trying to figure out what they did wrong. I have been there...lol. I think it illustrates one of the hardest rules of SEO to learn. Don't immediately fix what you don't know is broken. Often times changes in rankings are temporary and even more often, vary by data center and personalization.

Reminds me of Mothy Python's History of Life when Moses comes down off the mountain with God's fifteen (15) comma...m...ent.. ah, err, slip, smash to dust... 10 commandments.

There was no penalty, no filter, it was a fluke that should have never occurred.

Microsoft launches Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP, Vista pre-fixed and once they fixed it - update with downloads...

...it's not like you can do some SEO trick to avoid a fluke.

Oh bad fathom - that was a Mel Brooks movie not Monty Python and the movie was called History of the World Part 1.

Too bad there isn't a 1970's-80's spoof comedy forum, I think that's where my true talent lies.
Comments on this post
fathom agrees: It was the only part I found funny so no wonder why I couldn't remember the Mel.

One thing is sure that we should not make hesitate decision in making changes as Google also make mistakes and takes time in settling the results.
