Yeah probably not the only one they own either... it doesn't mean they are any better... the fact remains the specialists themselves have no more knowledge than is freely available to anyone.

Nice find sz27.
I have about a million backissues of that newsletter to read, so I wasn't due to read that one for about 2 years ![]() Very interesting indeed and G's response will be equally interesting.

Surely this SEO Company would be really expensive, but tell that you need to know how to write really good content, avoid any sort of link exchange, and link backs...
Tell you that you cant do this or that and you need to avoid any other sort of linking.... then magically, by avoiding all these things, you will magically get to number 1... I agree, it doesn’t necessarily mean they will give out the information SEOers want. Still, Im having a little dig into Performics now. I like the idea of free SEO from Performics though ;) If Google practiced as it preached, I would pay for some guaranteed money back advice An interesting find indeed. Very interesting info, however I don't think it's such a big deal. If I bought shares in a meat processing industry does that mean that I personally hate and kill the animals? Or Russian guy buying a UK football team means that that is a Russian club now? No. Business as usual.

strange
I dont know about this, if it is true how would the SEC ever let this slide when they aquired it? They Bi@#@ about everything during acquisitions and they just happened to let this one through? there is obviously more info that is not being published, or the companies are completely seperate, yes they may have the same owner, but he more than likely does not touch the other biz and it is run by someone who does not have access to google, and vice versa

The best thing would be to call them and ask if buying their services would bring higher or guaranteed rankings in Google.
If they says "Yes" - then something is fishy! If they says "No" - Then say, "Ok fine then, I will hire someone else"

I have also read article from http://www.americanchronicle.com/articles/viewArticle.asp?articleID=42982
Google paid $3.1 billion for DoubleClick, Microsoft paid $6 billion for Aquantive, and Yahoo paid $680 million for the 80 percent

They´ll probably sell Performics as soon as the purchase of Doubleclick is finish. Bear in mind that at the moment the companies are still not integrated because a $3.1 billion purchase takes months to get finalised.

In my opinion they can really make a lot of money in that acquisition but their integrity of producing organic results will be at doubt.
It is because, it has been known in a long time that even them cannot guarantee number 1 ranking, but they do have full access of the algorithm, they can study it better than any SEO firms in the world and will use it to manipulate organic search results if they are running an SEO firm. This is the bad side for their business. The good side is that they can learn the clever tactics done by SEO, and they can do further tweaking in their algorithms , formulate better algorithm against search engine manipulation by SEO firms, spammers and to better improve search results by studying the SEO analytical methods.

Well google dont own or affiliates with any seo company.
if it is then google owned company would be high-lighted and people even i would prefer to go with google.. or google will start selling organic listing to paid listing.. so google will be all paid no free listings..and results would be pay per position or click.. well google is making much bucks.. selling adwords getting funds... getting commission thru adsense as well.. and probably some under-the-table things also going on because there are so many companies ( big brands) can pay whole lotta bucks for brand positioning.. So people Agree with me? |
