Not sure if that is a question or a statement, but we recently published a press release on PRWEB.com and it was picked up by Google News and Yahoo News. I can recommend PRWeb if you have a press release to issue.

What is the purpose of prweb? It lets people issue Press Releases? Who reads press releases?

Business people? If you're competitors put out a press release wouldn't you want to read it?

In the real business world (other than Internet), the world runs on advertising and public relations (PR). PR, through press releases, is actually more valuable and often more effective than advertising. This, and the costs are substantially lower.

The media is always searching for what they consider newsworthy in the business world. Editors that receive a press release of interest will often do a feature article or, at a minimum, publish the press release within their media.

I noticed on the prweb site that you can include the news headlines on your own site. If a load of other websites are displaying the news then it's a good way to advertise without the usual great expense.

Yes, the purpose in submitting a press release is to have media "pick it up" and republish it (either on-line or off-line). Newspapers, periodicals, trade magazines, etc. I was even contacted by a TV news program after running a press release that piqued a producer's interest.
