I'm not sure why this should be deleted as it is on topic but anyway...
I would say that Google's true mission statement has never changed but instead their tactics or way to get there has. They wanted to be the best Search Engine for a reason and that was for the eventual income. Yes, they have sacrificed being the best for that final goal but I don't think you can expect a company (certainly not a publicly traded one) to sacrifice financial oppurtunities for the "greater good". Yes, I do think if they returned better results they could nearly guarantee their future popularity and therefore still increase their revenue but that is merely an argument for the best way to reach their goal of increased profitability. If they are knocked off their top spot and see revenues drop, then you will see a change but I certainly don't expect a company to change what they are doing if what they are doing compliments the bottom line. |

Clasione has got it right on the money. This is a no brainer.
It is obvious that google are giving more weight to sites which participate in their adwords scheme. Of course they are in the business to make money and I expect many of us here that frequent this forum are also as well. That said, google needs competition as does any company that monopolises an industry as google currently does. This is why the work microsoft are doing is so refreshing for most SEO's. |

Yeah.
Sandbox Effect = Adwords Revenue We should stop calling it the "sandbox" and start calling it the "mom and pop killer"... |

Well mom n pop killer is not exactly accurate. I would consider myself a mom n pop site producer. My sites make it out of the "sandbox" just fine. Some quicker than others, but that is to be understood. Planning ahead is part SEO. I do agree however, that Adwords is an excellent revenue producer for G. but there are ways to work with it.

So, you know how to avoid the sandbox? This is what we've all been waiting for. Let's here it... |

They are not wrong by trying to capitalize.....
It's business - so you've got to make money.... Imagine if they just ran Adsense on the side of the serps and just ignored natural search - would that be great.... But I really do believe that they are minipulating serps to "force" people into adwords.... You know what I mean.... They would still be making a rediculous amount of money by not having it affect search - but they seem to be changing the index to force more adwords users by creating confusion... |
