Google Javascript vunerability

Was rather surprised to have my boss drop his USA Today on my lap with a front page story about Google and what sounds like an XSS vunerability problem

It's not the first time Google has had a problem being hacked, they had a problem in Dec http://www.networkworld.com/news/2007/121907-google-toolbar-flaw-opens-door.html?page=1

One thing that stands out - the guys name in the report in USA Today? 'David Dewey' - wonder if it has anything to do with Matt Cutts request for users to report strange results quoting the word Dewey in the additional info box?

Oh I'm sceptical I know - and it might just be a coincidence - but it's a good one.

Those javascript attacks are serious...I even experienced subscribing to an online gaming software but it ended up installing a trojan in my PC which almost crashes the disk.

Luckily, I do a live one scan and removes all trojans.

Lesson: Any website we visit or any online forms of entertainment could be dangerous. after my experience with trojan attacks. I turn firewalls on , antivirus on , anti spyware on, with no exceptions and run scan weekly. I can surf clearly.

Well the date of the O.P.'s post leaves me sceptical.

But yeah - as a general warning - this thread is way up there
