Google Introduces New Advanced Search Feature
New Advanced Feature from Google
Something new from Google today. You can now use the ~ symbol to include synonyms in your search. For example, this search for the word manual http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...9-1&q=%7Emanual in the result snippets you'll see the terms book and guide highlighted. In some cases i noticed the exact same result sets with or without the ~ character. Here's a search for superb. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...8859-1&q=superb and a search for synonyms of superb http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...9-1&q=%7Esuperb Here's another example from the Google help page: (http://www.google.com/help/refinesearch.html) "You may want to search not only for a particular keyword, but also for its synonyms. Indicate a search for both by placing the tilde sign ("~") immediately in front of the keyword. For example, to search for browser help as well as browser guides and tutorials, use: browser ~help http://www.google.com/search?q=browser+%7Ehelp Spotted at ResourceShelf http://www.resourceshelf.com Last edited by yabbado : August 4th, 2003 at 06:01 PM. |

This is a great find yabbado, i can see how it will endanger all of the spammers, it will also enforce natural linking..
can't wait to see if they actually implement this without actually having to use the ~.. |

Could this be used to reveal all that is *related* in google and get all your required SEO keywords?
