I respectfully disagree. Yahoo and MSN both are showing more relavant results right now. I know we will agree to disagree but your website is spammy. Yes I am a competitor of yours and you are ranked a little ahead of me but not much. Did you also notice you lost the number 1 position for the primary search phrase that you have posted all over the forums , how you took # 1 from your spammy competitor? I am doing very well on yahoo and MSN and I have also had a website in the top 3 in google for our primary search phrase. I know that the traffic I pull from yahoo and MSN is something more then just webmasters and other Realtors searching. Also I can document better closing stats from yahoo and MSN then google..other then googles partner AOL, which seems to have good submissions As for content anyone can go out and use AA and get thousands of pages of content..as an example look at the school content pages they have. I know another AA site that has about 30 real pages and 1400 pages of that school content..LOL You also speak of spam..what do you call www.lvrealty.net and www.realestatebyjacqulyn.com they both have the same content..LOL 100%. You know what you are trying to do with it and I do as well..google I am sure also knows or will know. Your spammy competitor you have mentioned before, I am sure they reported you..she is a major pain in the backside..LOL..with all her doorway pages... You also speak of very little content. You only have about 40 pages indexed by google..even though you have more then that google is only counting 40 of your pages. So you cant really say its lack of content and spam is a requirment for being ranked in yahoo and MSN and not google. In real estate you can have 10k pages but all consumers really want to see mostly is home searches and pictures..I would be willing to bet your top visited page is MLS search..this is true for most real estate websites. No consumer is going to spend hours reading through most of the junk we place on our websites.. |

Long Live Google
Quote:
I forum after forum I hear complaints about Google making a profit. The real irony about the complaints is that the majority of them are coming from website owners or SEO operators that want better rankings in Google to increase their profits. I am thankful that there is competition between the Search Engines and that we are NOT at the mercy of just one dominate Search Engine. I wish them all continued success for that purpose. If you think that Google is taking advantage of newbies with their PPC, consider the cost of Overture for the real estate industry at .30 cents per click with SiteMatch. Can you imagine what Overture would charge if Google did bite the dust? Long Live Google! -Mack |

I can't agree with you more. I just wrote in another thread, that I was doing a search for "Atlantic City Hotels" and the results were sooooo ridiculous b/c 3 sites had identical info, one site was a news article from the washingtonpost.com about the casino workers strike, and the ones that ranked well had Google ad words on their site.
I'm not happy with Google at all anymore. I used to go to Google as my little inside secret to come across sites that offer hard to find deals. Now it's just b/s I hate to say it but I may convert to MSN's new search b/c at least they look like they offer unmanipulated results. Yeah, I hate to say it, it seemed like the Golden Days of Google is a farse. I'm going to give it a few more weeks, but if it continues, I just can't trust it to give me quality results. |

Hey,
I feel pretty lucky when it comes to Googles. The Googlebots have already more than doubled when crawling my site for this month. I get allot of traffic from them. My PR has not changed, and as far as my keywords go, they have been going up and down. They might be in the top 10 one day and the next day they might be in the top 100. Over all I make sells and that is what I care about the most. ~Nykyta PS I am new on this forum, I did not see an introduction section, so I thought I would just join in anyway... |
