Tax on AdSense revenue

Hi

Can anyone help with this? I have a site based in Europe on which I have Adsense. I want to move this site to a US based server but am wondering about the tax situation of doing this.

The site in question is a personal site, i.e. not business related in any way other than the Adsense and Amazon ads.

I am not resident in the States nor do I have any business dealings there.

The only relevant info I can find on Google's support page is related to "Non U.S. Business (No U.S. Activities)" The keyword here for me is "business" but the description talks about "activities".

Under this heading, poiint one says that (you are eligible to pay tax on AdSense revenue if you are...)

"setting up a web server, hosting service, or website" (...in the states)
Does this apply to non-business related site?

My AdSense revenue (on the European hosted site) is currently really minimal.

Does anybody have experiences related to this?

Thanks in advance

Tax is based on your mailing address not your server location.
I lived in Canada and Google deducted no tax from my Adsense checks. I have moved to the USA, have a US mailing address, and Google will now deduct tax from my checks.

Most (ALL as far as I know) have Double Taxation Treaties with the USA as such you'll only be liable to pay tax in one country (your country of residence).

Check with an accountant if you are at all uncertain though!

Are you sure they will deduct? I am not saying you are wrong just telling it from my end. I got my checks from G and never had taxes deducted. I have received my end of year earnings statement from G and this is where I will owe Uncle Sam when I do my taxes. As in years past I was always responsible for taxes on my earnings on affiliate income.
