Suspended from Adwords

Just had the Google boys email me, they have suspended my ad because it has the trade name Epson in it,
Well thats what my site sells just Epson products
Just searched for Epson c900 and the 10 adwords listed all have Epson in the title,
Are they mad???

Have not received a reply from them, but can you imagine not being able to put a brand name in the ad

Any thoughts??

Was it one ad or all ads? What keyword or keywords??

If it was one ad and you were just targetting the keyword "Epson" than yes you would get suspended as that is copyright infringment.

All the different Ads
Refering to different Epson products

eg
One of the Epson products is a Epson C900 Colour laser printer
The title of the ad is Epson c900
Of the top 10 in Google uk 4 have the Epson c900
The rest have Epson in the title,
We have keywords of Epson c900, aculaser c900, c900, epson printer these were all suggested keywords by Google

WTF. How do they expect you to sell a product if you can't advertise the product?

Do a search for epson printers and the ads have Epson in them, so that can't be the reason.

Thats weird. Email them back because thats not right. Point them to the other ads that are showing up.

Is your website "clean"?? Make sure your website clearly says that you are not affiliated with Epson so users OR Google dont think you are trying to pass yourself off as Espon or official distributor.

Have already Emailed them, no response yet
Our Web site is clearly marked that we are not Epson, with our Company name and address clearly visible on front page.
Epson do support us with marketing etc and have seen the web site and have no problems with it - as long as we sell the products they dont care.

Still waiting for reply

Be sure that Google understands that Epson has no problems with the website but I'm sure you already have

Good luck!

Whats even funnier Ive just had a good look at the Epson Adwords campaigns
5 separate ones 4 have been dissapproved
the fifth which passed pass the same format as the other ie Epson Inkjet printers as title and is ok

Also Im UK based so the URL I like to be shown is website.co.uk , but the main site is website.com so the link goes to the .com site. (Both are registered to us and the .co.uk transfers you to the .com), but they will not allow the .co.uk , saying you must go to the .com,
why?

Because they dont want people misleading anyone with a URL "redirect". For example someone enters Ebay.com as the displayed URL but the actual URL is some kind of fake site that people think is Ebay setup to steal their passwords. So you can send a user to ANY part of your website but it has to be to the one you entered when you signed up for AdWords. Tthey check to make sure the displayed URL's domain is the same as the actual URL's domain name.

I have at least 20 campaigns all the same, even the Epson one thats not dissapproved has the same format,
surley they can see that its a genuine URL both are exactly the same apart from .co.uk and .com, and they go to the same website

Just been into adwords, edited the ads (but changed nothing in add just put a reason in a box why I should have an exception) It says why I cannot save the ads - disapproved etc etc , save it twice and that clears the disapproval,

But I still want an answer from them

They'll contact you and let you know why once the ads get re-eveluated. The first disapproval was automatic. Now it'll be reviewed by hand.

Machines cant live with them, cant live without them. Is it worth contacting Epson directly to find their view on it.
