QS issue: [widgets] & widgets - different Quality Scores!! ?

I have an Ad Group in my account called Widgets (Broad) which has widgets in it, in it's broad term; and another Ad Group called Widgets (Exact) with, funnily enough [widgets] in.

The one in the Broad Ad Group has a min CPC of 0.05 but the one in the Exact Ad Group is 0.03! I thought QS was the same for the same keyword? Not here it isn't!

Any advice as it's confused me a little.

Apparently even match type, or the resulting click quality from users behavior toward that match type, counts in QS. This makes sense since broad match kws may show ads for many more search queries (some relevant and some less than relevant), but exact shows for only that term. The resulting behavior (lower CTR ) could make for a lower QS.

This is the expected result. Your exact match keyword is a more relevant, better match to people's query. Your CTR is probably better. The broad and exact match variants really aren't the "same" keyword at all.
