Exclamation Poor Adwords Quality Score?!

I launched a new campaign the other day.
Very targeted keywords and ad text within campaign and ad groups.

keywords are used in display URL, and ad text of ad along with destination URL. The landing page also uses the keyword throughout the copy and in variations.

i cannot figure out for the life of me why the quality score would remain as poor.

I tried contacting Google but they said only time would help...

this happened a few weeks ago with another campaign within the same account (still has not improved)...has this ever happened to anyone else?
Could the account be bad?
Any ideas!!

thanks so much

Is it all organised into relevant ad groups?
How many ads are in each ad group?

Try adding a new ad and pausing the other ... then give it a day or so and come back to see if it's improved. If it has - you know the older one was at fault. If it gets worse, the new ad is even worse than the original one.

It's all about tweaking and waiting.

If a keyword gets a lot of impressions I always have it in it's very own Ad Group.

to answer, yes the ad groups are targeted based on the relevant keywords and there about about 15 keywords per ad group with 2 ads in each ad group.

i am going to give it a few more days, it's just frustrating because i have never had this problem before, and i'm finding it a little odd to happen twice so close together.

thanks for the quick reply and advice!

Ok if you look at the keywords, do they all have the same Quality Score as 'poor', or do they vary? Are any OK/Great?
If they vary that's a sign that the ads are better for some keywords and worse for others (in terms of min bid & QS).

I'd say 15 keywords for the same Ad Group is too many. You are bound to find some of the keywords relate to the ad better than others - in Google's eyes.

If you wish to give it a few days that's fine .. a very good CTR could always change things. However, I'd try either pausing one of the ads, or adding another - and see if anything changes.

Go to one of your Ad Groups and click on 'customise columns' - by default (for some bizarre reason) Google, don't have it showing.

Just google something like "adwords improve quality score" ... there's literally hundreds of webpages/blogs with their own methods.
