Newbie, needs help!!

I'm totally new to this. My first thoughts about adwords/adsense was to use it to advertise my new fantasy sports website. What I need to know is, is this a good idea? Would it be good to offer a commission on signups to other people to get them to advertise it as well?

Then I find out that you can get adwords/adsense on your site, and google pays you for it. Would a fantasy sports site be one that they'd approve?

I'm really hoping someone can help, and if there's anyone interested in doing what I stated above, advertising to gain a commission on signups, I'd be more than willing to talk about it.

I'm thinking of paying a 50% commission on the fee that I "keep". In most cases it'll be a $10 fee that's kept(not part of the prize fund) so that'd be $5 for every signup.

adwords is for advertising your site through Google.

adsense is for publisher that shows adwords ads on their website, Google pays them.

Google accepts any websites except those they refuse to accept in their policy. Content in the site is what Google considers pending approval.
