New adsense G text

I suppose most of you have noticed that - on occasion - Google has chosen to replace the much hated "Ads by Goo...oogle" phrase/link with "Feedback - ads by Google".

I for one feel this looks a lot more professional. But does it really show? Is it just between the ears of us, webmasters, or does the new phrase look a lot better (i.e. not silly), with click rates to match???

I'm not a hardcore adsense client, but I'm curious for your opinions/experiences...

I've always thought that Google seemed to come off a little tacky for everything they do. From their favicon to their approach to PR (pub rel) to stuff like the Google Easter Bunny. It looks like stuff you'd think of or do if you were locked in a room, writing code for weeks with other like people. You get a little punchy, you lose a sense of appropriateness.

I've seen some big companies without what would seem to be an important department; for Google, it would appear they're missing a marketing department. Some of this stuff would never fly if they had an Ogilvy & Mather type working for them.

hehe. Google could certainly do with a bit more marketing oversight. They are very good at keeping coming up with distruptive techs but on the other hand they end up pushing out endless streams of beta products with some pretty big flaws in them. I mean WTF! Adsense didn't have real time stats for the longest time.

IMO it's worthless. Requires 2 clicks to be paid. I'd stick w/ the traditional Google ads.
