Need help with Adsense.

I just setup adsense on one of my higher traffic sites. The problem is its been on there for about a week now and its making hardly a thing.

I am getting almost 3,200 unique impressions to google adsense a day but only an average of about 40 clicks.

How can I make it to where all my google ads are based on a certain topic? Like for instance web hosting. On a web hosting page I get way off topic subjects like knitting a purse or stupid stuff like this.

I would really appreciate the help.

If you put adsense coding around words that you want to have show up then google adsense should pick this up. I also believe there is a tool on the Digital Point website that shows 20-30 ads that google would show for a site, based on its own interpretation of what would "sell" best.

Change the positioning and also the format so that it looks more like "content" rather than "ads" - this typically works very well, atleast for my sites.

40 clicks on the 3200 impressions isn't too bad. Double your traffic and your clicks will double.

With 20,000 impressions you could get around 250 clicks and maybe $75/day

My unique visitors are raising by about 500 uniques a day. Today so far I am up to 3500 impressions and 48 clicks, only making $4.05. I don't see why im not making that much.

$4.05 - $10.00 would be about right on that traffic and clicks.

Get more traffic the numbers will continue going up.. whats your ctr like now?
