Need Google Help
Guys I am having a heck of a time getting impressions and clicks on Google...at a decent rate. Sure I bet I could bid $5 or $10 and they would put me #1 and take all the money I can muster, but that is not exactly a business plan.
I haev always read to start low and build your bids up, but I cannot seem to get enough impressions compared to how many searchs I know are going on. I have no problems with Yahoo and can put up a profitable PPC campaign on there with my eyes closed.
But I cannot figure out Google's voodoo. I put on a small campaign for software with 173 keywords, each in their own adgroup with their own ad specially written for each one. And the landing page had a lot of quality and value. No funny business straight up we are selling this software ads. The result was horrible. (As a side note I did accidently have their content network on for 2 hours, got 300 clicks and no sales...should have had 100 sales off 300 clicks).
Now I loaded 12,000 keywords using Google Editor into 7 adgroups with an simple qualifying ad for each one. Of the 2/3 that are not needing higher bids or better quality ads my impressions and clicks are almost non-existant.
Question: Can anyone new to Google put up an affilaite website, a campaign and make any money or do I have to push my bids so high I lose money to get a click and quality score that then lowest my bid? You guys ever been told by Google, "hey your ad is doind so well we are goign to charge you less for your bids".
I am at my whits end to get the vaunted Google to send traffic my way.
Any help would be great...or do I just pull the trigger?
