Keword-targeted and Site-targeted campaigns...
From a few days I am runing additional site-target campaign together with my old keyword-targeted campaign. Today I noticed that I made significant amount of impressions yesterday with site targeted campaign, which means I have to pay a lot compared with my keyword campaign. The total bill is - a few clicks and no conversion at all! With the money I pay for the impressions I could buy a lot more clicks...
For me it is better to use the content network with the kewords campaign and pay only for the clicks. In fact the ads from the keyword campaigns have been shown on the same sites as the ads from site-target campaigns. Maybe site campaigns will be better If you would like to advertise in a few particular sites, or only one) from the content network. But for me It is better and definitelly cheaper to use keyword-targeted campaign only... |

It depends what your goal is.
Different goals / objectives required different actions / solutions.

The site targeting allows for controlled results, while you might not get the same returns at 25 cents Google is still one of the lowest forms of advertising available.
If you are looking for better returns make sure you put your Band/Company/Website name in the title and description of the ad, you also have to remember lots of the ads won't show your URL so don't forgot to keep the URL in the body/title to help bring in the brand value. Also remember if you have 100,000 impressions, but only 20 clicks you have to realize that out of the other 99,980 people several of them read your ad and just didn't click on it, so by putting your brand/company/url in the ad the user that just reads you ad is of value. Heck I know about this thing called iPod, but I've never bought one nor have I ever clicked on an ad for one... |
