here is the email

It has come to our attention that invalid clicks have been generated on
the Google ads on your site(s). We have therefore disabled your Google
AdSense account. Please understand that this step was taken in an
effort to protect the interest of the AdWords advertisers.

A publisher's site may not have invalid clicks on any ad(s), including
but not limited to clicks generated by:

- a publisher on his own web pages
- a publisher encouraging others to click on his ads
- automated clicking programs or any other deceptive software
- a publisher altering any portion of the ad code or changing the
layout, behavior, targeting, or delivery of ads for any reason

Practices such as these are in violation of the Google AdSense Terms
and Conditions and programme polices, which can be viewed at:

what to do now, am i banned for ever???

thank you

Clicking one's own ads is stealing. Someone else pays you for those fraudulant clicks (unless you get caught by Google). Is it fair that Google stop letting you use their product when they catch you stealing from their customers?

Dude,

I think your tax ID has something to do with it. Let me eloborate.

I too was booted from Adsense. I had just launched my first site and signed up for Adsense (ofcourse i didn't read the Terms) and I clicked the ads on my site like 4 or 5 times, then read in the google adsense forum that you can never do this. I knew i was nailed at that point. I learned a lesson, but believe me Google is not the end all be all.

Here is the point I am getting too. I let me account just sit there and it grew to only about $50 over about 1.5 months. I did not get booted from Google until I entered my tax id. As soon as i did this, my account was cancelled the next day.

My guess is that they will track you by using a few different data points. Just a thought.

Dude

I think I have seen the same post on another forum! ANyways, you wont be able to use adsense for same site or for the same address(including SSN, tax id etc.)

They are too big to worry about you!

I too created a site in the hope to earn a Little money from Google. The site was advertised to my contacts who all thought the site was great. My family also saw the site and my brother and some friends clicked on the ads although I had not told them to do so and told them that they were PPC. They tell me they were genuinely interested in the ads. However, Google sent the same email saying I was "banned" I thought I would start a new account (I hadn't got to giving any tax or other details but the URL was the same) some 3 months later I am about to get my 1st 100$ and guess what! Yep they say they wont pay cos the account is linked to another account which is "banned"

Why wait 3 months?

Why is it I am banned in the 1st place as it was not my clicks and on the second account i insisted no one that I knew clicked on the ads even if they wanted to see the ads.

In the meantime I have bought 5 other sites thinking I would use google to earn some revenue but feel i have wasted my money.

I really think the small guys are used to boost figures and is a con. I have seen a friends ad who i know uses ad-sense and who's ad has been on my site...I know it was clicked by him so I wonder if he will get his money back!

Anything I can do or should i keep looking at alternatives.

MJ

You have to think of Google like you would a retailer. If you walk into the Google store and steal a piece of candy... if they catch you, the store can ban you from their store.

It is also true, if Google was a retail store, if Google found out that others, e.g. your Mom & Dad, stole from the store then gave you the stolen candy. If you knowingly accepted the stolen candy and did not return the candy... guess what... you are just as guilty as Mom & Dad. In this case Google can ban you from their store even though somebody else stole the candy for you.

So lets get this right as there are 2 issues here.

1. I didnt click on the ads so i didnt steal anything!

2. If my Mum and Dad go into a store and steal a TV and I dont know anything about it then I am to blame 'cos they are my family!

I dont think so.

You seem to think that just because I know people who use my site and these people are actually interested in my site and the ads within (becasue we are in the same business) then I am the one to blame.

I dont think so.

If you receive the t.v. knowing they stole it you are guilty of receiving stolen property (they click/steal and you get the money). If your family is stealing all the time and you know they are giving you stolen goods, you are just as guilty.

Did you know that your friends were clicking on your ads? Whether you knew or not, if Google thinks you did... they will ban you. Your ordeal will be to convince Google that you were unaware that the money owed to you by Adsense was from fraudulent clicks. They don't forgive this offense easily at all.

The reason they are so tough? If they aren't, they will lose advertisers (Google's #1 source of income).

As I say I had no idea that they had clicked until I asked if they had after the first "ban" but as I said b4 the people who did admit to it said they wanted to see the ads as they were interested in what was to offer. One took up an offer of an advertiser and still is.

You still use the "steal" word. But I know how many clicks there were and that each was, although from someone i know, genuine clicks.

Anyway i cant see any solutions in your posts. I am resigned that the site that i am banned on will never be able to get back on with google but what about any other sites i write?

mj

For what it is worth, almost 18 months ago I stopped all adsense advertising, because of fraudulent clicks (some no doubt in a situation just like yours), be they innocent or not I stopped it completely, because I perceived I was getting taken for a ride.

If other buyers acted like me, I'm not surprised you have been banned by google. You could try coming completely clean and explain it to google, not sure it would help, but they might allow you back.
