Had to wonder about the content matching of this one
This morning I posted an entry on my blog where I used an example, and the example used the word "monkey" in it several times. So, what adsense ads came up for this monkey-related post? Thanksgiving dinner ads! Thanksgiving dinner? Is monkey normally served for Thanksgiving dinner? Just got a chuckle out of that one. Way to go Google. Good job on matching the content for that one!

Was it ONE ad or all of them?

Maybe someone is running one ad as a joke. I know someone who has done similar on other keywords... and sometimes they have drawn amazing clicks.

It was the 468x60 size which shows two ads - both were for Thanksgiving dinner. (butterball and hickory farms ads i think)

I don't think the ads will change till you get crawled again. For some reason it takes new posts in my blog about a day or two before I see relevant ads.

what... you don't all eat the traditional thanksgiving monkey? we do. we stuff him with banana-stuffing and sit him in the oven all day. we make gravy out of the hot monkey juice. the worst part is the neck though.... having to pull the neck out. any way, i am from indonesia, and you guys?

I've too had some pretty interesting "content matching" from Adsense.

To circumvent this and to increase your CTR, I tried placing the Adsense in a content-targeted iframe, and CTR has skyrocketed.
