Google Adwords Problems

Hi , this is my first post here and I already have a problem. I added funds to my google adwords account in february of this year. It was the second time I used that account , previous time was a small test I did with 100 euros. The test didnt go as hoped and thus I didn't continue at that point ( this was june 04). In february of this year I decided to do anohter test for some new sites we had just released and needed some testing. I deposited 1000 euros on my account and started making ads. The ads I made were shown on google.com for one day , after that no more ads. I emailed them numerous times to ask for an explanation. It lasted a full month before I got a reply . Their reply was not what I was expecting , they claimed I was a known adwords cheater and could no longer buy ads with them because I violated their TOS every time I did and should just ask a refund and they would deposit my money back.

Anyone ever had this happen to them ? I never cheated them , the first time I used them for that small test with 100 euros I never had any complaint from the adwords sales reps. So I really dont understand why they would say things like that. The sites I wanted to test are adult sites where you can gain access by dialing a phonenumber. I think the sales reps dont know enough about that market and the rules of google and thought I was cheating them. The rule in this market is that dialers are not allowed but voice pages are. Most use voice.domain.com for the voice access and normal root for the dialers . We dont because we ONLY use voice and thus all our visitors go to the root and are shown a voice page. The adwords reps called me a cheater because of this I think but I am not sure. I already tried emailing them back but they refuse to reply. I also already tried to get my money back but so far nothing has been refunded . This has been going on now for couple of months and I am really sick of it. Its not about a whole lot of money but still ,there is 750 + euros on the account and I like that back if they refuse to show my ads. Anyone have any clue what I should do ?

emailing google doenst help , calling their FAKE amsterdam office also not !

any help or suggestions appreciated

Did you place a phone number in the ad copy so that there was no need for anyone to actually click on your ad?

You can't force them to take your business. If you cannot get a clear explanation out of them, you'll need to figure it out yourself. Try re-reading the TOS & guidelines.

Perhaps you will have better luck with Yahoo/Overture?

no there was no phonenumber in the actual ad, they had to click on the ad, then the get a site, and to gain access to the site you would have to dial a phonenumber , the ads I showed did not violate their TOS at all cause I see daily ads that are as good as identical as far as type of site , and means of gaining access, the only difference is they use voice.domain.com and I use domain.com ,

right now I have given up already on being able to show ads but I do like to get my money back, I was told it could last couple of weeks after you ask for a refund before you get a notice of them, but now many many weeks later still I have nothing heard of them , anyone can help perhaps on what step to take to get my money ?

I strongly disagree with that. Google makes the rules. If you follow the rules, you are fine. The more you try testing the limits of those rules, the more likely you are to get kicked out. You should keep in mind that G Adwords is very restrictive with Adult Sites, especially when there is Dialer Software involved.

Just my 2 cents,
Ben

P.S. Regarding the refund: I found that Google was always very fair in refunds, I never had any issues with it and problems got solved fast.
