Post Google adwords geo target and keywords

Hi all,

I am new member to seochat.

I have question about google adwords. In what way does geographical target can help me getting clicks. If it is an advantage then how can we get our keywords to target the audience of these areas. I have not been able to get much clicks even after tight clustering and using peel and stick method which i have read in perry marshall's google adwords. I would be very grateful if anyone can clear my doubts

thanks,
Ravi.

Hi Ravi! And Welcome to SEOChat!

It's beneficial from the perspective that you are better able to target your market and provide relevant niche products/services for that market.

It might help you get clicks in that you could get better Click Throughs if you ad references that geo area or in some way reflects that population.

Also if your ad copy and landing page reference that geo area and you are targeting it... then Google might find your situation more relevant and provide you with a better Quality Score which in turn gives you better rankings and more clicks... and your ad might be favored.

I think the benefit that I see as being one of the top is the fact that it helps you strip aways the market regions that either your product can't be sold in or don't convert for you which... improves your bottom line.

Just some quick thoughts...

Hi Ravi,

It really depends on your product or service. Geographical targeting was designed to benefit the end user in finding local businesses using a geographic parameter.

How does, or can it benefit you? If your selling widgets in cleveland and a nervous web shoppers wants to shop online before they buy in-house (as 20-30% of buyers do), then you have made a potential customer if he's shopping for widgets in cleveland.

Good Luck,
Gary Beal
