I wasn't aware of this new feature in AdWords. I might be a part of the explanation. Though it seems odd that such a change would drop the Adsense revenue from one day to another. Shouldn't it happen slowly over a period of time?

I don't think that content network can vary the results in one day... or... did google apply the change on those days for all adwords advertisers?
There is no change in content, we update the info every day but it's very similar from one day to another.

If I understand you correctly it seems that we have two different kind of problems. Your problem is the decrease in CTR which probably is the reason why your revenue has dropped.

My CTR is almost constant but my CPM has dropped which basically means that I get a lower price per click.

My CPM was 10-15 before the black monday, now it hardly reaches 7.
Well, anyway it seems that few people are afected by this drop... I'll try to reach better results and tell you if I find any reason.

Are you using the "advertise on this site" option?
I have activated this option but my sites show "ads by google".
Does it take some time to appear?
Luis

Yes, this option is activated on my account (as default). I believe this is a pretty new feature, so maybe it takes some time before the text is visible. My ads are also still showing "Ads by Google".

some time... or could it be "some thousands" of visitors, perhaps Google does not apply it to all websites.

Adwords and Adsense use to work as soon as you create an account.

Someone knows how it works? (I mean why it is not seen inmediatly)

Google also reads this forum...
I've just got the "advertise on this site" for all my sites, including the ones with few impressions.
SimonGlue, what about yours?
Did you get it too?

I still don't have the "advertise on this site" text. But I'll just wait and see. It will probably show up in a short while. Else I'll get back:-)
