Question Adwords still working for you?

Hi,

I hope it's not a problem to post about Adwords problems here, if so I am sure I will find out soon enough. I just don't know what is wrong and haven't heard from Adwords yet, so....

Since Wednesday, my Adwords accounts are not generating any traffic anymore. Not at all. And all accounts show no stats, everything is just plain zero. Adwords shows no that no there were zero impressions for all Ads, for all accounts.

I haven't seen any of our Ads either, when searching on our keywords.

Since it is not just one account, but 3 and slightly different ones at that, I am assuming that the big Adwords System is having difficulties.

Please, if anyone has the same problem, let me know. Any tips or remarks are of course welcome too.

Thanks,

Pietro

Everything is working fine as far as I can see.

I have seen this happen before with a few accounts. Normally what happened is in regards to the daily budget. Google looks at your inputted daily budget and calculates how often it can show the ad over a full 24 hour period. So if you have a low daily budget it's going to calculate that it can only show your ad a low percentage of the time.

Add to that if you CPC is set low, then you'll also have a low position so when the ad does have a chance to show it may only be for something like a page 5 listing which doesn't get many impressions.

Do some quick math and divide your set daily budget with the recommended one. That will give you a percentage of how often the ad should show within a 24 hour period. With that and any history you have on average ad position for your keywords you can normally work the campaign back into the rotation.

Hope that helps.

jayaic, thanks for your reply.

The accounts have all been running successfully for over 6 months now. High budgets, high CPC, fair amount of clicks, avg.pos 3.0. Out of the blue all three accounts don't get any ads served.
So, I simply can't see that the set daily budget is too low.

On another forum I found someone with the same problem saying he tried the Ad Diagnostic Tool. That told him his daily budget was spent, while it wasn't at all. I tried the tool too, and it said the keywords I wanted diagnosed weren't in my campaign!!

Nothing changed over the weekend, still not serving my ads. Let's see if Google feels the need to contact me.

Unhappy

Is no-one else having any problems? I have a strong feeling that Google has a problem with their server or something, but I'm still guessing, since they haven't contacted me yet.

On another forum someone suggested my account could be under review. But I am having problems with 3 different accounts, 2 from 1 client and 1 from another. These accounts are somewhat related, but not eachother's competitor. Could it be possible that Google therefore has 'frozen' my accounts to investigate?

I just don't get it, there are no warning messages when I log on, as there have been for anything else. I think the Adwords System is pretty good at that. But now, just out of the blue, from one day to the next, 3 accounts simulataneously don't get their ad shown, at all!!

Someone, any ideas??

Under Review

Does the content for the sites fit within the AdWords guidelines?

Just tossing out ideas why it might be under review, if it is.

I know when they review something they normally won't say anything until it's disapproved and the ads keep running, or at least mine do.

I have been having some major slowness and timeouts with AdSense for a few days. Not sure if it's related.

Hi,

I am having the same problem: No Clicks, no impressions - nothing. Using the Diagnostic Tool tells me that the keywords are not in my campaign - which is not the case.

Google are also not responding to my support emails and they have already taken a £5 set up fee off me!

I would like to wrap Google tags aroung their selected necks!!

ZeroPoint Search

Hi,

This is on topic for this thread but is a bit of an advertisement as well, so just let me preface this with that. I am a sales representative for this company.

You may want to try ZeroPoint Search's AdTabs program at http://www.zpsearch.com instead of Google. It's far less hassle, there are no setup fees, there is less competition for ad space, and you can advertise across all major search engines. It's software, but it's not like the toolbars that are floating around. It displays a set of tabs at the top of the browser content pane when and only when the user is searching at a major engine that give one-click access to the current search term at most of the major search engines. A few of the tabs on each search are also sponsored by sites related to that keyword.

ZeroPoint has a huge user-base that is growing incredibly fast. They are just beginning to take on advertisers now that the userbase is sufficient (should hit the 10 million user mark by the end of February). If you have your last Google or Yahoo! bill, the company will give you your first campaign's clicks at 50% of the CPC on that bill.

Regards,

Tim Wilson
