Hi,
We run some large google PPC campaigns to promote a site. These campaigns have about 15.000 clicks by day pointing to this site. Some days ago we started to see the server logs for that domain with the Awstats installed in our server and it only counts about 7000-8000 visits by day (raws), we have reviewed all... server load, ads, urls, dns problems... and all seems be fine, is this normal?? Could some company be clicking our ads to generate fraud clicks? What we can do? Regards. Lucy. |

Adwords is usually pretty good at catching blatant fraud. I'd certainly contact them directly and let them know, possibly send over your log.

maybe you should check to be sure that the target URLs in your ads are correct.

I don't understand... you say you are getting 15,000 adwords clicks to your site each day???
That would mean you are spending 5 figure amounts, shouldn't you have some kind of special account with a dedicated adwords representative?

I get the same stats with kanoodle. It shows double what my logs actually say I got.
of course, they stand by their stats |

What are the benefits of a dedicated Adwords representative?

Yes, someone could definitely be clicking on your ads. If you are paying a lot per click, it is more likely than if you are paying $.15 per click.
I would agree with the statement that "adwords is good at catching blatant fraud" - unfortunately they don't see 1 or 2 clicks per day as blatant fraud. |

I had a ton of clicks and no sales with the 4 campaigns I played around with, and I'm not sure I'll try again until I hear Google and the rest take care of the current scams being run by Paid to Read Email programs, etc.
You can read more here... www.marketingcynic.com/ppcfraud If you follow the link in that article to the forum(Getpaidforum.com) there... people are blatantly laughing and more about the fraud that they are doing via the pay to read email programs and using SE's that outsource their ads to smaller search engines. I was quite shocked to say the least, and will probably not be advertising via PPC till it is resolved. mmh3 |
