Adwords Ad above regular links....!!!!!
How do you get your ad above where normal links are... Instead of on the right side of the page??? Do you have to have a certain amount of bid on the page???
I'd make a screen shot of what i mean, but my keyboards ating up. Last edited by Cheatdawn.com : August 2nd, 2006 at 03:16 PM. |

You need to bid up to positions 1 -3 and then build up some history. |

Google normally only places the Adwords ads top left based upon quality plus bid. Top bid does not necessarily get you placed there. I think there is some ad "quality score" plus bid amount plus CTR history that triggers it. On some of my ads we will appear there for several days then be moved to the right only to realize the top once again after a few days.

Okay thanks, my only problem is im competeing against ign.com which is probly a billion dollar corporation. Haha, and i tried to sneek up and take the top spot, but they took it back quickly. So i guess money isn't too much of an issue for them. (Top spot was going for about 20-25cents for the search "xbox 360 cheats") |

Currently on my DC, G isn't displaying a result above the normal results for the search term "xbox 360 cheats." They don't always display this as it depends on the query. It might have to do with the number of advertisers for that keyword, but I'm not sure entirely.
On a side note, looking at the organic results for that query, it seems extremely competitive. Pretty cheap bidding (at 25 cents CPC for 2nd spot) for what must be a large term. Hope you're monetizing it well.
