AdSense CPC falling
Hi! During last 2 weeks CPC and CPM on my AdSense earnings are dropping... now they are approx. 1/3 of what I had before. I haven't change anything on my site, traffic is mainly from search engines and stable.
Do you see similar changes in your earnings? |

I run adsense on lots of sites and have all of them separated into multiple channels. I watch it all carefully and plot by spreadsheet. I also bid adwords out to many content sites.
What you describe happens constantly. There are many possible explanations... * advertisers bidding against one another / not bidding against one another * if your impressions (or another sites impressions) go way up you could consume their daily budget - or they could realize that bidding lower will still get lots of clicks simply because of enormous click supply - simple supply/demand situation * they might be running conversion rate logs and decide that they keyword that triggers their ads on your site is not paying * a strong bidder might have visited your site (they can figure out where adsense clicks are coming from) and decided to abandon keywords that show on your site * the way that adwords bidding operates it is possible that just one advertiser reduces the amount that they are willing to bid on a keyword - that can cause a complete collapse in the amount paid per click So, I am glad that you didn't rush to conspiracy theories. These things can happen. I have seen the same things on many sites and in many instances they reverse themselves in a short time. Also, if you were running just one ad per page then include a second. That will increase your impressions and cause drops in your CTR and CPC.

AdSense advertisers

Google's program for advertisers is called AdWords (link). Your ads will show on google's SERP and/or on websites with AdSense. |

Is it somewhere possible to turn off the adsens links from other sites? This because i'd like to receive serps hits a lot more since they are targetted a lot more.

When you lauch an adwords campaign you have the option of displaying the ads on google only or displaying on google with more ads going out to other websites via adsense.
If this did not answer your question, please restate it. I am not sure that I answered what you are asking. |
