AdSense Abuse

I believe someone is abusing my site's AdSense ads.
What can I do to stop this...?

I've just got a warning from google-spam about this matter.

I mean, how easy it is to go to your competitor's site and abuse the hell out of their ads!?!

Last thing I want to see is my accoung getting shut down...

Reply to Google explaining that you are innocent, including some sort of proof if possible (logs, etc.). Many people have got this email and have been able to explain their innocence. On the other hand, if you have been clicking on your own AdSense links, just stop doing it and hope they'll give you a reprieve.

Gringo.

I did explain and they have sad thank you for your compliance...etc etc. So they'll keep monitoring the situation... although I am really 'inncocent' that kind of makes me feel nervours.

*big brother is watching me.*

If I have another complaint by google - I'll give up on serving their ads and have no ads at all. We'll see...

Gringo, if one clicks on his own Adsense links, it will show in their log file, won't it ? And Google will know based on the log ???

Many people suspect that Google track the IP's used to logon to the AdSense stats with the IP's used for clicking the ads themselves. If these 2 addresses coincide and other factors are present (e.g. a suddenly very high CTR), then most likely Google will send out their form-mail about fraudulant clicks.

Whatever methods they use, it's easier to just not click on your own ads than it is to determine how they do it.

By the way, a link to your forum has been added on my homepage. Gringo
