1 Adword Account, same Keywords, Multiple Sites?

Greetings all,

I've racked through the FAQ's on Google and I am still at a loss. I just want to test my understanding on multiple sites on adwords.

The scenario is that I have a single adwords account and I have 2 campaigns running. Each campaign is for a totally different web site but are similar in the services they advertise, identical in fact, just different sites. The problem is they use the same keywords and I would like both sites displayed in the sponsored results. At the moment, if I enter a keyword which is in both campaigns, the site with the highest bid is displayed, not the other one.

Do I need to create another adwords account to get the other site to display? Hence having to wait another 3 months to be invited into the analytics section.

Many thanks.

Greetings!

You could just put all the keywords in the same ad group and then just create 2 ads going to each site. You need to make sure your settings are set properly to serve both ads equally, but that's what I'd do. Then you only have one keyword list to worry about... IF... serving both equally is your goal.

I don't think there is any way getting around Google giving the higher bid the stage. The only way you can get even serving is if all the factors are even.

You can have 2 campaigns in the same account on the same keywords, but you can't create a second account and bid on the same... This is called 'double serving'. Something Google frowns upon.

Double Serving

Thanks Matt, The Double Serving link kicked me where it smart's...

Even looking into their exemptions, I am disallowed...

Cheers bud
