Ok help me out here, Started a free forum website www.ibforfree.com

I first had www.ratemyfishtank.com it is frekkin loaded in google with all my awesome phrases. I got accepted to adsense through ratemyfishtank.com stats attached below. But $ per a click isn't as good. I typically get 1% ctr.

Now I started www.ibforfree.com it is competing with invisionfree.com which has 50,000 boards and 520,000 members. I went live 2 days ago and already have 82 forums hosted. www.Ibforfree.com is better then invisionfree in that we give the users 30 skins and 11 languages where invisionfree only gives 1 skin and 1 language.

They are running adsense banners just like me, I'm wondering why adsense isn't reading the forum catagories. It will go to an auto forum like http://www.ibforfree.com/members/?mforum=Autoholiks and it dosn't read the forum all the time and put car ads up. Or try and go to http://www.ibforfree.com/members/?mf...kesgamingforum and it doesn't read the forum and put up gaming adverts all the time, if you go into gamecube it picks up the gamecube adverts, but if you click on one of the games it throws up psa's. why is it doing this?

As far as I know, AdSense relevancy is based mostly on the domain name, unless there is a keyword record in the Google database for the particular page that is viewed.

Since the word "auto" isn't in your domain, this would be a problem if Google hasn't yet created a profile for your page. The word "Autoholiks" doesn't count since it is a made up word - Google will most likely ignore it.

Possibly, when Google fully indexes the new forums in two to three months, they will have created a keyword profile for your forums and will be able to display the proper ads. For quicker results, however, I would recommend fixing the links.

Perhaps a solution would be to create "categories" for your forums, and make the categories into subdomains. For instance:

    video-games.ibforfree.com/members/?mforum=gamecube

    auto.ibforfree.com/members/?mforum=autoholiks

This will not only improve your situation with Google AdSense, but will increase your backlink count and site structure PR through non-deceptive funnels.

I've just introduced adsense to my pages too, mostly to get a sense of what they do.

So check out the differences in the ads on these pages

    http://www.hostultra.com/~data/forums.php
    http://www.hostultra.com/~data/muck/iframe.php

What's interesting in the iframe example is that it appears to pick up content from the top location, not just the frame

See http://www.pcpropertymanager.com/bot...r/adsense.php. If adsense was just looking at the domain I wouldn't be getting seo links on this page.

On your forum index the content is pretty vague and doesn't really standout. On http://www.ibforfree.com/members/ind...um&showforum=4 where the topics posted are more direct you are getting relevant ads. I think the system is working well for you, you just need to get some traffic and postings.

you need to get something meaningful on the pages for Google to read and get keywords from. Maybe a description of the forums?

It is not impossible for Google's code to be parsing the text on the web page, and finding the keyword relevancy on-the-fly.
