    How to adword

    Hello

I am very new yo AdWords but I'm trying to learn as good as I can.

A friend of mine is running a shop and has a connected web shop.
They are selling different things like greenhouse, sauna, bath tubes, showers and buble baths.
They want to put in an advert on Google. All these products in one advert.
What about the keyword. Is it okay to use these words: greenhouse, sauna, bath tubes, showers, buble bath ????

Please excuse me if this is a silly question.
    I need your help.

    Thank you.

    Petter.

Not a good idea. Your click through rate has a great importance, and muddying the waters so to speak with such a diverse keyword range will weaken your ads. You really have to divide these up. I would separate each keyword focus inside of your campaign, in separate ad groups, and build ads specifically for each keyword. If you don't do this, you will end up with a lower quality score. That results in your costs going up and Adwords using your ad less often.

    Thank you.
    That was very valuable information.
So about 5-6 keywords for each group of items and make an advert for each separate item is a better way of doing it ??

Your original plan is simply not functional. You would end up paying way more for clicks.

    Concisely:

One keyword focus per Ad Group.
Build at least a couple of Ads per Ad Group.
Keep the keyword focus on the Ads.

Within the Ad group, you can have dozens of keyword phrases. I usually try to keep the phrases close to the keyword focus.

Monitor the negative keywords to make sure you are not paying for keywords that are not relevant. You can probably find a Youtube video to explain this more in depth.

Also build specific landing pages for each ad group. Pay attention to quality score, ctr and ad rank. Then TEST, TEST, TEST to continually improve all.

Correct, but his ads may not even show set up so loosely.

I would use the most relevant page you have for the ad.

    Thank you for your help.

What software or method do you recommend for testing how good your adword ad is doing ?
