    Conversion rate confusion

My Adwords conversion rates seem way too high, meaning that Google is seeing conversions that don't exist. My only conversion goal is a sale on our website. In other words, when somebody actually purchases an item, I want that to be the conversion, and have set up the javascript as Google instructed.

However, I am seeing conversion rates in the 60 percent area, for the last few days, yet I haven't had one sale in that time period. What is happeneing here? Why would I have a positive conversion rate when my actual sales are zero?

You probably implemented the code on a page that can be accessed without having to pass through the entire sales process. Post your URL if you want us to take a look.

    My Home Page

Also, I tried to get onto the "checkout success" page (which is where the tag is) by directly typing it into the browser, but it rolled me directly to the shopping cart page, which is what I think it's supposed to do.

Also, the incorrect conversion rate info is only on my 'campaign summary' page of Analytics. The analytics tab with all of the content and marketing summary info reflects a 0.47% conversion rate, which is closer to the truth.

So this is an Analytics issue not an Adwords tracking code issue?

No. I believe that it's an Adwords issue, because the Campaign Support page on Adwords is giving me obviously false info. The Analytics tab reports the correct info. I wrote to Google yesterday, but don't know the likelihood of getting an actual response back from them.
