    Clicks down by a third

Is anyone's AdWords account slowing down? Clicks on two accounts that I manage have slowed down by a third and the daily budget used is down by the same amount. One account has been running since December and the account has been slowing since the end of March.

My Adsense revenue continues to fall. The last couple of days it is off by two-thirds, with number of clicks and click through up. Anyone else taking the same kind of hits using Adsense? :-(

My revenue remains down on Adwords by a full 2/3's. Clicks are up, but revenue is in the cellar. G has really hit me hard with their new pay scheme. Getting the same???

it's all about relevance of ads served, which is out of our control.

Traffic has not changed on my software sales site which has many affiliate links.
I had stable clickthrus and $/click thru Q1 until April 1st, then clickthru rate suddenly dropped by 1/3rd but $/click more than doubled. Revenues are up.
$/click dropped on April 16th to just 50% above Q1 averages, but it's the weekend which is always unpredictable for me, so I'll wait and see if there is a trend.

I try not to get excited or panicked by short term adword trends or recent algo changes and wait for the inevitable followup. Google is usually way off target when they make a major change and have to fine-tune. Google uses the gunnery range-finding approach to updates & hitting the target - make a change, shoot, check results, make adjustment, shoot again, check results, repeat.

Under campaign settings, do you have the "search network" and "content network" checked off? I agree that the relevance of the ads served is directly related to your recent decline. You may want to change your settings for these two and see what happens. Good Luck!

    dropped off

Our revenue really dropped off about mid march, but has ever so slowly been increasing. Still at about 2/3 of what it was.

Apologies if I was not clear.
I am not an advertiser running campaigns. I am a website running Adwords banners.

Adsense income can be volatile. One bidder can support a high click cost for the entire stack of ads. When he reduces his bid your income will collapse until another bidder realizes that an opportunity has developed. So.... a bid reduction by one person can yank the floor out of your income stream.

Watch this stuff closely because I participate in both adwords and adsense.
