    Ads when you got #1?

    Hello everyone

What is your thoughts of spending money on Google-ads, if you already got the #1 organic position.

Are there any tests out there in order to see if its worth it?

    Best regards

Sometimes a competitor will bid to show up above your #1 organic position, that would be one reason to consider bidding for an additional paid placement.

There may also circumstances where it is beneficial to combined paid and organic listings to maximize click share. Two listings will likely send more traffic your way, but depending on the click cost ROI it may or may not be profitable for you.

You may wish to use a paid listing to send visitors to a different landing page with a higher conversion rate, too.

Is your organic listing showing up across all results or just regionally? You could supplement paid listings in regions that you do not show up organically. Same for device targeting, do you have organic placement on desktop, mobile & tablet?

It really comes down to your individual circumstances, I do not think there is a single best practice that is applicable to all cases.

Depending on how developed your paid search campaign is, there may be better opportunities out there.
