I Built A Very Busy Facebook Group. But I Dont Know Why. Am I Stupid ??

So I managed to build a rather exciting and engaging facebook Group. But what am I supposed to do with it ?? It serves me little value in terms of website SEO. 90% of the group users dont seem to be able to understand what an external link is, yet alone how to clik it.

It's tough to tell without knowing the specifics! For me it's hard to imagine an active group that would be useless

Wondering how you built it? Doesn't sound like your target audience or?
Everything will be ok in the end

If it's not ok, it's not the end

Without knowing more details it's hard to say but it might be worth migrating the users from a Facebook group to a subscriber list via a freebie of some kind.

I built a facebook group about my home town. I hoped to then post links in a bid to draw these people onto my website and to build the website into an active community. The website is based on adsense.

The problem is, the people NEVER click the links, and never visit my website.

My theory is 90% of Facebook users do not understand anything other than Facebook.

Is you site in any way related to your town? If no, build one From my experience, FB people do click links if that's something they are interested in. Since they have joined your group, they are likely really interested in hearing news about your town!

Consider how other popular sites get clicks from Facebook. Most of the time it seems to be content with a headline that makes the person want to read more. Get a little click-baity. "Top 8 Things to Do in <Town>", "The #1 Must-See Spot in <Town>", "7 Secrets Only Locals Know", stuff like that. Think FOMO (fear of missing out). What is the fan going to miss out on if they don't click that link?

I don't know about your users, but my experience is that I get a lot of traffic from Facebook. People clearly DO click links. You just need to make sure you share stuff they are interested in ;)

It is always nice to have a bunch of people around you .You can push your group subscriber to a page. Page is better cause you can sort out users from the page and push your idea by advertising. You can even start some sort of local business around your subscribers. I have a friend abroad and he marketed a culinary book to his audience very effectively as his group was about cooking.

    Good luck!
