    Facebook likes counting

    3 questions:

    1) If I post a video and a link in the same post and someone clicks like, does Facebook count the like for the video, the post or the link?

    2) Posting a link and a Youtube video (as an example of what is described in the link) is it possible to gain likes for the link?

    2) Is it a good practice to use bit.ly links in Facebook posts? The like count is referred to the shortened link or to the destination link?

    Thanks for the replies!

For yotube, i know it does not matter where you post or embed the video, it will be counted by youtube.

The 'likes' goes to that particular URL i.e. the facebook post url! And these kind of 'likes' are not rewarded to your YouTube video link, video, or the other link.

    You're doubling up a lot.
    Why not post them separately?

And by that I mean - post a video on Monday.
    On Wednesday post the link.

This way you can see which one does better.

And if you want to get more likes, or reactions in general, then upgrade your distribution practices.
Meaning find as many places possible on FB to promote your content - meaning FB groups and pages.

FB groups are fairly simple to get into.
FB pages, you have to get in good with the admin and they'll promote it.

And don't forget running FB ads.
    It works.

But if you're trying to get attention, yeah - I'd look into leveling up your distribution practices.

1 - Facebook considered like for the post
    2 - No, it’s not possible
3 - Yes, its a good practice and the link counter is referred to link destination

Why do you like facebook? I have a negative attitude to it. Maybe I don't know it perfectly....
