@ VS # for the brand name on facebook?

    Hello,

I would like to know what is the best logic behind using # or @ for your brand name? Which is preferred?

    Thanks

Yeah, I don't think there's any benefit to one over the other. I would also use none. Maybe I'm getting old but I just find hashtags and @ signs to be either confusing or annoyingly "Look at us, we want to appeal to young people!"

Great question, well its good to use #tag on twitter but on fb, it has different meaning. If you use # on fb with your brand name and make any post on fb with # using brand name or person name then if you search the posts with the brand name or person name in which you using # on the page on fb then you will see all the post of the at a same time in sequentially. If you used #abc then you find all the post of abc at same place without interruption of any other post which doesn't has the #abc.
@ tag on fb is work like a backlink, when you used this tag and mention name then you directly link those person with that person.

Both '#' and '@' are used for mentioning.
The difference is there, # is used for mentioning or highlight something like #Web_Designing_Company and when you search Web Designing Company on Facebook then all the posts will appear on your wall which has included # tag
@ - This is working like an anchor text, for example, if you use @ and mention someone's name or company page name then you get username of that page or user profile link, that will be clickable if you click on that text so you will be redirected that particular page or profile.
So the main difference between @ and # is @ is used for mention any individual and # is used to show all the related post for the specific keyword or phrase in which you used # tag.
