Hi Folks- I have a website that was designed and is hosted by the SEO company I hired years ago. They
have gotten really good results for me but unfortunately over that amount of time I have no real biz relationship
with them which is why I need your help with this question.

I have a new website on squarespace that I am close to launching and my SEO providers are telling me it will cost more
in SEO dollars to rank that site because they are saying squarespace is harder to rank than their customized
cms sites.

My challenge is two things. One I am not a fan of their design and the second being I am not sure if that is true.

Would anyone in the community know if SEO is harder to achieve with square-space over a cms site?

Really appreciate any feedback or advice:)

I read on seo-hacker.com that 302 redirects don't pass link juice to your website and it hurt your SEO.

So is it true?

This is my file.

We have launched the exit intent pop-ups on our website where a pop-up will appear when the visitor is about to leave the website. This will trigger when the mouse is moved to the top window section; as an attempt by the visitor to close the window. We see a slight ranking drop post this pop-up launch. As the pop-up is appearing just before someone leaves the website; does this making Google to see as if the user left because of the pop-up and penalizing us? What is your thoughts and suggestions on this?

HREFLANG and different GSC property for every language http://forums.seochat.com/google-optimization-7/hreflang-different-gsc-property-every-language-500106.html Tue, 16 Apr 2019 08:18:36 GMT According to this article https://www.searchviu.com/en/hreflan...ntation-guide/,
it's suggested to create a Google Search Console property for every language or country version of your website.

So, this means different properties for every /de/, /fr/ etc subdirectory

I wonder how this is going to affect the previous history of our website.
Suddenly all our Impressions and Clicks will be split among different properties, which complicates things.

Do you really think that there are more benefits of doing this that worth the trouble?

From what I see after clinking in, it is just a trashy website in German that has loads of images for visitors to download for free (maybe not even royalty free).

Is this a stealth website that SEO companies made for themselves to get the SEO work done?

A YouTuber suggested that we do a search on Google on the competitor that ranks on the 1st position on SERP with the competitor's URL, then we shall
go down the list to see how we can get our backlink on the same websites. Is this the correct way to do off page SEO?

My Facebook page is not appearing under search results! http://forums.seochat.com/social-chat-83/my-facebook-page-not-appearing-under-search-results-500083.html Sat, 13 Apr 2019 08:26:03 GMT I need some Facebook expert to help me out regarding my Facebook page's ranking on Google for the keyword "pet sitter hong kong" in English and in traditional Chinese.

There is a glitch that even though our page has the 2nd most followers and the most engagement in the local area, our page is still not appearing on 1st, 2nd, nor 3rd page of Google's search results.

My facebook page is fairly optimized, we post interesting and category related information consistently, run Facebook ads regularly, and even talked to a Facebook representative one on one to try to have
this problem resolve with no luck.

It is very frustrating watching our competitor ranking on the 1st and 2nd position on Google search results for the keyword that will bring us tons of business.

Our facebook page name is Max Love Cat & Pet Sitting

Can someone please take a look and tell us what we have done wrong?

Google is not crawing my home? Why http://forums.seochat.com/google-optimization-7/google-not-crawing-my-home-why-500077.html Fri, 12 Apr 2019 10:49:33 GMT Hello Experts.

Kindly help !

My websites home page is not indexing and continue giving soft 404 error. I have read about soft 404 pages and found that "when many elements of a page is not loading and giving 404 errors so it will create soft 404 header and error in crawling of web page"

https://search.google.com/u/0/search...GTXWdy01IIgGcg

Here you can here. When I checked this on webmaster then I found that many of URL's are fetching with the home page. But the URLs those are fectching mostly are "ajaxforAll" URL's and crawlers are taking by buttons as a URLs i.e Buy Button, Add to cards button, delete button.

These are not Urls, these are buttons those run with scrips. Then why webmaster are reading these buttons as URL's?

Kindly help. My website's home page is not indexing and giving soft 404 status. This is harming my brand value worst.

Kindly Help Guys

This may sound a little too suspicious; but just want to take your suggestions and experience in this. We are trying to create articles on third party websites to increase backlinks, our brand popularity and awareness about our features. If the same author is mentioned in multiple or tens of articles with backlinks to same website; will Google monitor the author name? Is there anything wrong in creating too many external articles with same author name?

Immediate effect on SERP's http://forums.seochat.com/search-engine-optimization-28/immediate-effect-serps-500069.html Thu, 11 Apr 2019 15:37:14 GMT I have a client that is having some very strange behaviour.

We added a location address in his footer:
Central London
London, United Kingdom

This is exactly the same as a competitor. I thought because it was so generic it wouldn't count as dupe content.

We also didn't get any flags on GSC or MOZ for dupe content.

But, just after we did this (within 24hrs) his site disappeared from the SERP's BUT ONLY on mobile. The desktop SERP's was still normal.

So, my client was freaking out and I was telling him "No, there is no way this small change could have possibly have removed your site from the SERP's, especially JUST the mobile serps."

And then we decided to remove it.

And BOOM! It's back up, within like 30 mins?

What the hell is going on here?

Virtual and Shared Workspaces for Local SEO? http://forums.seochat.com/local-marketing-82/virtual-shared-workspaces-local-search-engine-optimization-500068.html Thu, 11 Apr 2019 15:35:02 GMT I recently signed up for a mailing address with a local coworking space. I have a service business, but would like a "brick and mortar" address for better local search results. I know this isn't ideal for search, but it seems to me that many companies do it with a significant degree of success.

I'm debating on using my mailbox number as "#24", or listing it as "Suite 24". Whatever I do, I want to keep it consistent, and I'm wondering if anybody has any expertise or insights into this?

I've listed my business as a "service area" business, but doing that feels like shooting myself in the foot in terms of Google search results.

on-site reviews technical implementation http://forums.seochat.com/google-optimization-7/site-reviews-technical-implementation-500063.html Thu, 11 Apr 2019 14:08:21 GMT I would like to know the forum's opinion on the following on-site reviews technical implementation.
I mean by implementation, how reviews are displayed and indexed on the website.

To simplify, we had a website with 4 pages: Home page, product A, product B and product C.
To these existing pages, we added a on-site reviews block.
All products now have more than 10 reviews. Each page displays the latest 5 reviews. This leads to pagination.

Home page [//domain.com]
Displays the latest 5 reviews of all products.
To implement pagination, after the reviews section added the following link.
Code:

...
[reviews section HTML]
next
...

Then on page 2
Code:

...

...
[reviews section HTML]
prev
next

...
Then on page 3
Code:

...

...
[reviews section HTML]
prev
next
...

[reviews section HTML] have the correct schema implemented.

Product A [//domain.com/product-a]
Displays the latest 5 reviews of all products.
To implement pagination, similar to home page.
Code:

...
[reviews section HTML]
next
...

Then on page 2
Code:

...

...
[reviews section HTML]
prev
next

...
Then on page 3
Code:

...

...
[reviews section HTML]
prev
next
...

Similar for product B and C...

All pages are indexed by Google:
- home page
- 3 product pages (A, B and C)
- all the reviews pagination pages (.../reviews/product-a/...)

Questions I have
We get new reviews on a daily basis, so, everytime time google visits home page or any product page it founds new blocks of content (new reviews) and blocks of content deleted (old reviews pushed out by pagination).
Is this good? What's your opinion. Do be honest, we did not saw any good in terms of rankings after this implementation.

All pages result of the pagination are indexed. Do you think it makes sense? Or, would you block pagination pages with ?

Would you display and organize this user generated content differently? How?
