Which Gateway Do You Recommend?

Next, I was wondering which gateway you all use or recommend. I currently use YourPay, and I guess its pretty good. Customer service is decent, and the interface is decent. However, its the only gateway I've ever used, so I can't compare. I was thinking of switching merchant accounts, and I heard YourPay is only supported by First Data, so I was starting to look around.

What are your thoughts or recommendations on gateways?

Authorize.Net is my recommendation. It is easy to use and integrate and is supported by everybody. The amount of information available on the Net about them is unparalelled.

You may want to check out the article Six Payment Gateways Reviewed which compares a bunch of gateways.

How so? If you refund 100% of the transaction you get 100% of the fees back (including the transaction fees).

Authorize.net is the best and the most widely used by banks. There are implementations for every language php, java, c++. The service is always up 99.9 % of the time.

When they refund it refunds the payment and the fee IF the $ didn't go to the bank account which is 48 hours period, after that they will not refund the swipe / transaction charge

Thanks
Dmitriy

Because Authorize.Net offers a lot more flexibility then Paypal and is much more professional (vs Paypal regular. If you use Payflow Pro then Authnet is better because it is less expensive and easier to work with).

Hi,

My Opinion: Authorize.net is Solid payment provider though somewhat expensive. Many open source solutions like OSCommerce have excellent contributions to support this portal. While in case of PayPal, its complex and costly when you use Paypal Pro

Thanks,
Mayur Shah

I think paypal is attractive for first time users and people who are new to e-commerce, but in the end go with the best which is authorize.net
