US Bank account

Is there some way to open an A/C in USA for a Non-US person? I have been searching for this data for some time and unable to get hold of any.

Personal accounts can be open abroad depending on where you are. I think www.wellsfargos.com allows foreigners to open checking accounts overseas. www.rbccentura.com allows Canadians to open US bank accounts in Canada.

Make sure you look very carefully into the charges because they are generally a lot highr than regular accounts.

A lot of the time you need an adress in the country but a mailbox will be enough.
You can buy off the shelf companys for $200 that have foreign bank accounts and credit cards with them.

You now longer need to be present in person for bank account opening as some regulations from the Patriot Act have been amended. PM me if you want contact details of companies that might help you.
