Successful portals
Does anyone here know of any good/highly successful portal sites, not necessarily those that do well in the SERPs? I'm not talking about directories, mind you.

The reason I'm asking is that I'm doing a study of portal sites and the reasons for their success (eg, what services they offer, etc)

It's a pity my Afrikaans is so bad, I would probably have an easier time reading it, heh.
